Mark Waters

Mark Waters joined BNP Paribas in October 2001. His responsibilities include the arranging and structuring of transactions in the Middle East with a specific focus on corporates and financial institutions. He has arranged both conventional and Islamic based financings.
Prior to joining BNP Paribas, Mark was employed by The Royal Bank of Scotland where he was responsible for the development of lending business to financial institutions including the Middle East region.
He has successfully arranged a number of syndicated loan transactions within the region including financings to both large and mid cap corporates as well as facilities to financial institutions.
Within the corporate arena, BNP Paribas has been at the forefront of syndicated loan financing within the Gulf region. In 2007, BNP Paribas was the leading arranger of syndicated loans to GCC borrowers.
In August 2007, Mark relocated to Bahrain to head up BNP Paribas' DCM business for the Gulf region encompassing both syndicated loan and bond origination.
