Walid Sarieddine

Walid Sarieddine has worked for WestLB for three years, specialising in the bank's flourishing Islamic finance deals. Since 2005 he has worked on more than 16 Islamic financing projects with a combined value in excess of US$7 billion and covering a large array of Islamic financing structures. Walid closed, with his team the US$1.1 billion Arcapita deal, the largest Murabaha financing by the bank to date; last year his team also closed the first LBO of a Western iconic brand with the landmark financing deal of Aston Martin. Before joining WestLB, Walid worked for two years at Maple Securities, a Canadian Investment Bank in London. Prior to that, Walid spent six years with Arthur Andersen, working first as Auditor in Financial Assurance in Dubai before joining Andersen's Corporate Finance/Debt Advisory division in London. Walid holds a MBA degree from Southern Methodist University (USA).
